James Kudo

A couple of years ago we met James in Sao Paolo and were deeply impressed by his optimistic mind-set and artistic eye. In his surreal paintings, James visualises early memories of a flooding in his neighbourhood in the early 90s. Architectural structures float across plants and empty spaces reminding of the natural disaster and resulting urban changes in his home town. James skilfully turns dark memories of destruction into colourful contrasts. We predict that he will make it far.
