‘The Soft Side of Steel’ is a project by Seongil Choi and Fabio Hendry exploring the different states of steel. By combining soft steel fibres with welded elements to make vases and containers, they challenge assumptions on the material’s properties as well as on industrial processes and products. The project can be seen as an interdisciplinary collaboration between textile and metalwork in which Seongil and Fabio combine “industries in order to innovate”.
